Microsoft Windows 11

I have tried to do fresh Windows 11 install from USB-media. It fails, because apparently wants some extra Intel Rapid Storage driver. I tried all the drivers I could find, the HP offical drivers (for this desktop model) and also newer Intel RST drivers as well. Even removed the Intel NVMe drive from Mobo and tried to do a install to a SATA drive, same problem, Windows installer still cries for this additional driver. Does somebody know the right driver I need for this computer to Install Windows 11? It’s starting to look more desperate. Linux install is very easy for this computer,  but freah Win11 install seems to be mission impossible, so far spent 2 days and failing with every driver..

Hi:

It's an AMD platform and does not use Intel storage controller drivers.

What I suggest you do is to see if your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to install Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with it.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

Since you have to use the utility on another PC, so you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.

Your PC's product number is: 8FB70EA--but I don't know the 3 characters that come after the # sign.

You will need to enter the full product number...8FB70EA#???
