HP Recommended

Computer purchased new 2019. Yest while doing normal internet activity screen came up with blue message saying hard drive error. Did check and it said passed then came up with boot error. Is it possible to buy compatible hard drive and just replace that portion . This is my mom's only entertaining pass time and needs resolved asap or she won't stop obsessing over it. Please and thank u
