I'm adding an additional HDD to my system ,Does anyone know if a 12" SATA cable is sufficient to reach between the motherboard and the HDD?

@Kenneth_Rhineha, welcome to the forum.
The standard length of SATA HDD cables is 12". In fact, anything shorter is not recommended. I believe that the 12" cable should be fine. I have never had to buy any that were longer.
