Hi:

 

That device is not from a HP PC.

 

See if this works to install it:

 

Download and save the driver file from the link below.

 

Microsoft Update Catalog

 

Download and install this free file utility.

 

The first file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

 

7-Zip

 

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the driver file you saved.

 

Select 7-Zip from the list 

 

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the file into its long folder name.

 

Ignore any errors generated.

 

Once the file folder has been created, go to the device manager.

 

Click to on the USB\VID_0E8D&PID_2008 device needing the driver.

 

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

 

Select the Browse my computer for drivers option and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created.

 

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

 

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file that shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted.
