What is your HP model name or Product ID?  If the label is missing you can run the HP Support Assistant to get the Product and serial number

Go here

https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchby=swp

and put in your serial number and see what version of windows is listed.

for example

If your system shows windows 8.1 "standard" then you can try the key listed by @Paul_Tikkanen here

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Windows-8-1-8-Product-Key/td-p/...

The version of 10 or 11 you install need to match the one licensed such "home" or "pro"

there are different OEM keys for 7 and 8

Hi, @MitradevMahanta

Install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft Store, and it will show you the OEM product key and the version of Windows the key is good for.

ShowKeyPlus - Microsoft Apps

Use the OEM key from the report to activate Windows.

The version of Windows you have installed must match the version of Windows the product key is good for (Home, Pro, Home Single Language...)
