Bought a Hp victus-15fb2724nw. Needed an operating system, so i downloaded through usb windows 11. During the set up it asked for network drivers- they were in my usb (i got them from the official hp website) however they were not visible in my usb files on hp victus. Later on i found out about hp cloud recovery tool, but the serial number, product id is invalid or doesnt match. How do i get this operating system windows 11 with drivers into my stubborn hp victus?

Yes, I am getting the same Item0015 error.

So, you indicated that the notebook didn't come with Windows installed?

If not, that means it came with FreeDOS and the Cloud recovery tool is only supported for PC's that came with a Windows product key in the BIOS, so whatever info I found online was incorrect.

If Windows is asking for network drivers do you know what model Wi-Fi card your notebook comes with?

I see Wi-Fi drivers for Mediatek and Realtek Wi-Fi adapters, as well as the Realtek LAN adapter.

Can you plug the ethernet adapter to your router and see if Windows will install?

The product specs indicate that I could find indicate your notebook came from HP with W11, so it should be supported by the Cloud recovery tool.

Did you enter all of the product number characters in the Cloud recovery tool's search window?

You need to enter the full B4MD6EA#XXX product number in order for the tool to work.

Yes, i think I did. I retried a few times to see if its actually invalid. I pressed on "whats this?" Which was highlighted after the statement of invalidity->got thrown into the website where i could check whether cloud was compatible with my model. I typed in my product id and my serial numbers- just tried both, why not- and got item 0015 and to contact hp support.

What is the full product number of your notebook?

It may be possible that it is so new, that HP hasn't released the recovery image for your notebook to the cloud yet.

I had to wait about 3 weeks before I could make a recovery drive for safekeeping after I got the notebook.

Connecting to the ethernet was the answer. I needed some time and effort to get the cabled network access (i usually use free wifi in libraries for e.g. or mobile data) but it was SUCCESS!

That is great news.
