Pavilion 510p102nv
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Friends,

I own a desktop pavilion model 510-p102nv - windows 10 64bit

During recovery process I keep getting a CTO Error.flg message " incorrect brand name". - Next step: please check model name or feature bute" . Can't continue the recovery process & there is no exit / shut down option there.

Please keep in mind that hardware its original pack, no changes.

Trouble started during a hard Format.

My Bitdefender antivirus activate the antitheft function and delete anything!

I've already install the original Windows 10 64bit (product key matched to motherboard) from Microsoft with their own step by step support & down load all HP drivers from HP online support ( according to serial no / model ).

Windows complete only their off line set up due to lack of internet connection - no network.

The control panel have no responce when click upon network icon. As nothing live is there.

These HP drivers even double loaded/opened, seems never manage to activate and work.

I fed up!!!

Any ideas ???

Thank you in advance

@CH-PAV

Sounds like whatever you used from Microsoft did not install correctly as you should not have encountered the problems you did after the installation.

Since your model was built in 2017, you should be able to use the HP Cloud Recovery option and a 32GB USB stick to create HP media you can use.

You should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
