HP Pavilion p7-1380t CTO Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a Windows crash corrupt system file I assume, and I updated windows (2013 PC with original Windows 10 Pro) to get computer working.  I can still not get latest update to work. Now my speakers have no output which I noticed after I got the computer working enough to do work.  Devise manager indicates speakers are not hooked up when they are if I try to auto install drivers and other trouble shoot areas indicate I need latest update which I cannot get to work.  Devise manager originally had a warning next to the audio driver but the old driver in the process of me trying to figure this out was deleted.  My mother board was replaced many years ago and I never figured out how to get correct bias and lived with cold boots requiring me to hit F1 to get past the boot screen.

Hi:

See if this W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model HP desktop PC also works for yours.

Restart the PC after installing the driver:

Tempo High-Definition Audio Driver (Original IDT)

6.10.6504.0

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe

If the PC was replaced with the original motherboard it came with, there are BIOS updates, but they were only written to be run on Windows 7 or Windows 8.

I have no idea what would happen if you ran the update using W10.

The audio works now ! !   I will not worry about bias (I just have to hit F1 on cold boot) or Windows updates for now.  My computer works good enough for me.

Glad the W10 audio driver worked for you.
