My HP All-in-one PC is frozen up! The message is: STOP CODE: BAD_SYSTOM_CONFIG_INFO Please help

I am having to work rom my laptop because my HP Pavilion  PC is locked up AGAIN!

The code states:

 STOP CODE: BAD_SYSTOM_CONFIG_INFO

 

It was working OK until I tried to download the new Microsoft Edge

 

Please help!

Hi,

 

Don't know why downloading Edge would cause this, I guess anything is possible in the PC world.

 

This Microsoft troubleshooting site (Link) may help. Look at the "Remarks" section for possible fixes.

 

I hope you back up data. You may have to reset Windows.

 

You could have a hardware problem, bad disk sectors or failing memory could corrupt the Windows registry?

 

Run HP hardware diagnostics at system startup.

 

"ESC" at system power on, "F2", run system tests.
