Need help pls! About a quarter of my screen from the middle to the left is partially black.

I didn't use my HP pavilion 23 for couple of years. We're working perfectly the last time I used it. Hardly used. Today I turned it on but partially black screen, about a quarter of the screen from the middle to the left. Couldn't read diagnostics since words or results are blocked. Kindly help.

Wish I had good news, but I don't.  The screen would need to be replaced and on All-in-Ones that is a very expensive operation and one most places won't undertake because the screen has to be PRIED off and PRESSED on, both of which serious risk cracking the screen.

Since your PC is older than the HP one year warranty, HP will not work on it -- so you have to find a place on your own that will order the parts and do the work.  And I can tell you the cost is likely to be more than simply replacing the PC.
