Hi @HemanthVarma_06 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP laptop is experiencing performance issues and overheating problems.

Here are some steps you can take to address these issues:

  • Check for Background Processes: Make sure there are no unnecessary programs running in the background that could be consuming CPU and RAM resources. You can use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to check which processes are using the most resources and close any that are not essential.
  • Update Drivers: Ensure that all your device drivers, especially those for graphics and chipset, are up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP support website or using HP Support Assistant if it's pre-installed on your laptop.  Software and Drivers for HP Laptop 14s-dq0513TU
  • Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Microsoft often releases updates that include performance improvements and bug fixes.
  • Improve Ventilation: Ensure that your laptop's ventilation system is not blocked. Use it on a hard, flat surface that allows air to circulate freely around the device. Consider using a laptop cooling pad to help dissipate heat more effectively.
  • Reduce Startup Programs: Disable any unnecessary programs from starting up automatically when you boot your laptop. You can manage startup programs through the Task Manager or by using third-party software.
  • Clean Dust and Debris: Over time, dust and debris can accumulate inside your laptop, obstructing airflow and causing it to overheat. Consider opening up your laptop (if you're comfortable doing so) and carefully clean out any dust with compressed air or a soft brush.
  • Power Settings: Adjust your laptop's power settings to balance performance and power consumption. You can access power settings by searching for "Power & sleep settings" in the Windows search bar.
  • Check for Malware: Run a full scan with your antivirus software to check for any malware or viruses that could be affecting your laptop's performance.

I hope this helps.
