HP Pavilion Desktpop 590-p0XXX

My ports on the front of my computer quit working.  It keeps giving me a message of a Power Surge.  Not sure what to do.

Try a hard reset:

 

Shutdown the computer.

 

Unplug any adapters or peripherals connected. 

 

Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds. 

 

Then turn the computer back on.

I did try a reboot and it didn't work. Thanks

They are two different things, I would try a hard reset to see if it helps.

 

Sometimes just removing a printer or a usb flash drive will resolve the issue.

 

There are a few steps after this one but this is the initial one.
