HP TouchSmart 610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There are a lot of posts and answers regarding the issue on Press ESC key for Startup Menu, but no one fit to my problem. This is the screen I got, when I use the F9 button at start up. This is all I can see or I can do.  Than everything is stuck. Computer doesn't respond to any command, unless there is any  key combination, which I don't know to start BIOS. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.IMG_20170520_131040[1].jpg

Hello, @ValdasM – Greetings!

Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

Going through your post, I see that you are trying to access the BIOS menu on the HP Touchsmart. First off, you need to press the F10 key to get the BIOS menu. Start the PC and immediately tap on F10 to get the BIOS or tap on “Esc” to get the startup screen. Check detailed steps here: http://hp.care/2qag6YO

To assist you further, I need to know more details of the issue that you are facing. Are you trying to do a specific task from BIOS or startup menu? What is the initial error that you have faced that prompted this screen?

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Good luck 🙂

I think that the WHITE text should also list that it has detected your CD/DVD drive, and your disk-drive.

So, it might be "hanging" because the disk-drive is not responding, i.e., your disk-drive has "died".

It might be time for a qualified computer technicican to remove the disk-drive, and connect it as a "slave" disk-drive in some other computer, to check the health of that disk-drive.

Hello Dvortex, thanks for response. Pressing F10 key during startup, I get the same screen I posted before, but instead of "Boot Menu" on the right bottom corner, I see "Setup".

The issue I'm facing is that computer is stuck at this screen.

It would be "unlucky" to have both devices fail at the same time.

Not easy: partially disassemble the computer, just enough to disconnect either the "data" or "power" cables from the disk-drive.  Then, start it up, to see if detects the CD/DVD drive, and then, of course, complains about "no bootable device".
