Replacing Windows 11 OS

I have several machines at home and work which it is time to upgrade by replacing. This is principally for improved networking with IPV6. That means, using Windows 11 which is an absolute no-no here, simply because of the long standing Microsoft policy with desktop and taskbar placement. If I wanted what they offer then IOS is the way to do it and that environment is considerably better than Windows !! - If you want Apple. I don't and Microsoft are now unsuitable for  us.

What OS is a viable option for HP intel equipment now (2024). 

Re-capping. We will not use Windows !! and wonder how others in this situation are evolving to modern usable equipment which ditches Windows.

Thank you for taking time to respond to my enquiry. It doesn't help in the situation which exists for me.

Namely, that is the failure of Windows 11 to work for us. It is point blank rubbish as an OS and a service also, and so we will not buy equipment running the OS but wish to upgrade our hardware at home and also at work. What alternatives to Microsoft OS's do HP provide on their equipment. I only seem to be able to find MS installed. My most recent new machine was is the Elite Folio 2 In1 Laptop /Tablet 8Cx Kryo 495 .

This beautiful and innovative design is fantastic, or would be if Windows 11 could be used on it. It cannot because of the inherently serious failings of Windows !! and Microsofts inability to fix this broken OS. What OS's do HP offer for modern equipment. I don't wish to repeat the exercise of buying Microsoft equipped hardware which is sffectively a brick. That's the problem which I and millions of others face.
