Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Running an HP Pavilion 2378 desktop. I was using Windows 10 for many years now and stupidly tried to upgrade to Windows 10 ultimate. I entered the wrong code and now when I started my computer I get the blue screen of death with the error message,

Stop code: PAGE_FAULT_IN NONPAGED AREA

What failed: Ntfs.sys

The computer won't start up into Windows 10 so I don't know how to change the product code back to the original. Somebody please help! Without my cherished desktop!  😞

Need more details.  There is no Windows 10 Ultimate -- as that version ended with Windows 7.  There is Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise -- which of these are you trying to install?

Thank you for your fast reply!  I'm sorry that I was away and just got back.

I am using windows 10, 64 bit on my HP Pavilion P6 2378 A10 when I foolishly tried to change the authentication code to Windows 10  Pro.  I got the code off an unreputable  website and  the code did not work.  I tried to restore to an older date to go back to the old authentication code.  When I restarted the computer, I now get the BSOD with that error code.

Is it possible to do a system restore from outside of windows/?

Please help

Marco
