Hi all,

from an auction (a company went bancrupt) i aquired a HP Engage FlexPro-C V1.6 system.

With HP Cloud recovery i can download a lot of different versions of Windows 10 and 11.

But only Windows 2016 LTSB seems to be activating.

Kind of strange why the recovery tool would allow downloading other versions without indicating if they are licensed or no.

So what versions of Windows 10/11 are actually licensed

Hi:

It depends on what Windows product key is encrypted in the BIOS as to what version of Windows you can install and will be activated.

The specs indicate the model series can come with:

HP Engage Flex Pro-C Retail System - Specifications | HP® Support

Available Operating Systems

Windows 11 Pro 64
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC 64
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2016 LTSC 64
FreeDOS 2.0

Enter your PC's serial number in the search window at the link below and perhaps it will indicate what version of W10 the PC came with.

HP PartSurfer

Another way you can check (if you can install software from the Microsoft Store), would be to install the free Showkey Plus app.

ShowKeyPlus - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

It will show you the Windows OEM product key and the version of Windows the key is good for.
