Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My PC was experiencing intermittent and varied Bsod's, driver conflicts (probably), after every variation of resetting drivers and Win10.

I purchased the suggested HP recovery discs, they have not recovered the PC!

The discs seem to instal the software and then begins the factory image recovery process, software installation begins the indicator bars seem to fill to 100%, it then stops and wants the discs re-inserted to begin the process again because of failure.

Reinserting the discs does nothing, a restart and F9 is the only way to get the discs loading again, but it then fails at the last part of re-installing again. The fourth attempt and the same failure...

Contacting the disc providers best2serve sent me a HP link, customer support once the warranty has elapsed is poor, so my question is how do I reinstall win10 to get my PC running again? The purchased HP discs are ineffective where is the customer support for those?

Suggestions? A large inert box under my desk is frustrating to say the least.

Regards

Patrick

Hi, Patrick:

If the HP recovery disks didn't work, make your own USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool.

The tool will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

You will need to have access to another Windows PC running W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.

If that doesn't work either, then you will have to clean install W10 by using the media creation tool to create bootable installation media.

After W10 has completed installing you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.
