I want to upgrade to a ssd but no m.2 slot on motherboard. Can anyone recommend a adapter and ssd? I want it inside the pc

and not an external ssd.

For a PC that old, it would probably be best to just go with a SSD that is meant to work as a normal SATA drive, so there is no M.2 slot needed.  Something along the line similar to these

Most of those also come with migration software to clone the old HDD to the new SSD, if needed.

You could use an adapter for the M.2 slot

But some older motherboards might not accept it for the boot drive,so probably best solution to use the first suggestion.  There are many brands and prices, so it does not have to be a Samsung drive.
