HP EliteDesk 805 G6 Small Form Factor PC (3N974AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Today I got a proposal to upgrade my Win-10 to Win-11 for free, just after I updated my HP EliteDesk 805 BIOS, with the only three response-possibilities: "Get it", "Get more knowledge" or "Deny upgrade".

The PC is equipped with Win-10 Pro 64 bit.

<span;>But I don't wan't to upgrade just yet, not until I have had the chance to take a backup of my user data in my PC.

<span;>And the <span;>"Get more knowledge" is only promotion info for Win-11.

<span;>And I don't wanna miss the possibility to upgrade to Win-11 for free.

<span;>But this is a modal dialog box, pre to the Windows start. So unless I answer the dialog box, my PC is stuck with this dialog box, just timing out to the Windows pincode login, and then back to the
<span;>"Upgrade my Win-10 to Win-11 for free, or deny upgrade" dialog box 😕

<span;>So what can I do to continue the start of my PC/Win-10, to be able to backup my data, and thereafter anyway be able to Upgrade my Win-10 to Win-11 for free?

Hi:

You will always be able to upgrade to W11 for free.

After you set up your PC the way you want it on W10, and make the backups, etc., you should receive the update via Windows update, at which time you can either upgrade to W11 or wait some more.

Or you can at any time, click on the blue Windows 11 Installation Assistant (1st option) button at the link below to upgrade immediately to W11.

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)
