Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hey everybody. Does anyone know how to find the Certificate of Authenticity  for my HP envy x360 or the COA?

You're very welcome.

W10 does not need the product key.  It will automatically detect it.

Also...If you bought your notebook in the last 3 - 4 years, it should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

If your PC is not working, use another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive, to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

You can check if your PC is supported by the cloud recovery tool at the link  below...

Hi:

If you are referring to the Microsoft COA label with the Windows product key on it, that ended with Windows 7.

Starting with Windows 8 the Windows product keys are now in the BIOS and you don't need them to reinstall Windows.

If you want to see the Windows product key, and the version of Windows the key is good for, you can run the free utility that I zipped up and attached below.

The utility will allow you to print or save the report to a text file.

ok thanks for the info. im going to make a bootable USB for windows 10 because i need to recover the windows since I have a booting problem where the partition was deleted where  the problem is HP restoration incomplete.  however I was wondering if when  booting windows 10 the pc needs  this information or not?

Now you know your options in case the hard drive fails, or you want to upgrade it to a solid state drive (if applicable).
