Product: OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-244

Hello,

I inherited a HP Omen Desktop 870-244, the hard drive is dead and I'm trying to install a replacement but I can't find an installer for the version of Windows 10 that came pre installed on the original hard drive. It's called "High End", I've tried using windows 10 home and even enabling the bios legacy boot option but I can't get the computer to load windows from the new hard drive.

I've searched HPs website and I've tried calling HP support with no luck.

I'd appreciate any useful advice.

Hi, Ron:

 

Here's what I recommend you do...

 

Use the HP cloud recovery tool which will create a bootable recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Since you have to use the recovery tool on another PC, you will need to enter your PC's full product number in the tool's search window, which is Z5M59AA#ABA
