Pavillon 510-p109
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I updated the BIOS on my Pavillon Desktop PC and now my Windows PIN (Hello) is no longer recognized.  I get a message asking if I want to create a new PIN and then the PC locks up.  Since I was unable to boot I switched to my old WIndows password and now the PC sometimes boots but most often it just freezes up after I enter my password.

When the PC finally boots, everything seems fine however I still experience the odd lock up every now and then.

I thought I could delete the old PIN and create a new one but when I check the Windows Security options, I see an error message about Hello and the option is greyed out.

I have read that this issue requires a Windows reset and I would really not have to go through this as I don't want to have to reinstall all my apps.

Is there a way to either fix Hello so the PC can run reliably.
