Pavilion 510-P114
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On 8/30/2019 I downloaded Windows 10 updates KB4512941 and KB4511555 using automatic updates in the Windows 10 Update and Security in Settings. When the computer restarted I received a "Welcome to Windows 10" screen in Microsoft Edge. I had to accept the terms of use and that took me to the "Getting Started" screen. All of my Windows and Edge preferences and settings were gone. I entered my preferences and saved them. It seemed things were back to normal. Until I restarted my computer. The same thing happened again. All of my preferences and settings were gone. I repeated entering my preferences. Same thing when I again restarted the computer. Each time I restart the computer it wipes out all of my settings and preferences.

@JG2547

Lots of folks are now reporting issues after installing one or both of these Updates.

Once you get back into your PC, go into Settings --> Update & Security --> Windows Update and see if you can back out these Updates.

I suspect that MS will pull these or come out with fixed replacements either this week or next.

Thank you for the reply. I paused automatic updates and uninstalled these 2 updates. However is does not seem to have made a difference. I appreciate your reply. I will deal with it and wait for a fix from MS. Thanks.
