I am trying to upgrade to Win 10, but MS is telling me I need a BIOS upgrade. My current BIOS is AMI 80.19, 7/19/2014
Does anyone know how I can get a BIOS upgrade for this machine that will support Win 10?
Thanks!

Hi:
According to the motherboard specs for your PC it has a Memphis-S motherboard with a SSID of 2AF7.

This would be the latest BIOS update HP has for your PC:

Your PC came from HP with W8.1 64 bit, so if you really did install W8.1 32 bit on your PC, I don't know if the BIOS update would be supported.

You're very welcome.
I'm surprised you are having any issues upgrading to W10 on your PC.
HP supports it for W10 as there is a full set of W10 drivers on the support page.

Thanks, I would think this machine would support Win10 as well. Every time I've tried I get a simple dialog box stating "Windows 10 installation has failed" with an OK button. No error numbers or additional info. I've contacted MS twice and been told the 80.19 2014 BIOS was too old, so I'm hoping the 80.23 2016 BIOS will be new enough, I'm a little nervous about updating my BIOS (though I do have a full backup)
