Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everybody,

Recently the company I work for purchased a smaller company and in that process we inherited 4 HP Pavilion desktops. When the machines arrived at my desk they were locked down so I immediately cleaned the drives and re-imaged them with our deployment software. I was under the impression the OEM windows 10 license would pull from these machines but as of now all 4 are asking for windows 10 activation and the computer doesn't have a windows 10 key to pull from. This has never been the case with any Dell's or Surface Pro's(obviously) that I've worked with before and am not sure why the machine lost it's windows 10 key because of an image. Is there a way to gather the previous keys these machines came with from the original purchase?

Hi:

If the desktops are all the same model number, what is the product number or full model number?

Use this guide to find that information.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07555

Since Pavilion desktops are consumer class PC's most of them come with W10 Home.

If you deployed a W10 Pro corporate image on them, most likely that is the issue.

Use the free utility that I zipped up and attached below to determine what OEM version of W10 the PC's came with.

That would be the exact issue. Thank you very much I'll be purchasing some new keys for these machines. Appreciate the help!
