blue screen

HP Recommended
Example: Pavilion 590-p0077c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been having blue screen on my HP desktop pav 590-p0077c since i made a Windows 10 update. I've tried Startup repair, System restore, and Reset to factory, but I'm still getting blue screen bringing me back to "Advanced Troubleshooting, Restore, etc.."

Could it be a hardware problem even though UEFI successfully passed diagnostic scans? I'm ordering a USB recovery kit from HP,  but I'm wondering if there is anything else I could do to fix this issue. By the way, this desktop is only 1-year old, and I'm using it with an LG monitor. Any comment is appreciated. Thanks!

@dextertexas

Bluescreen failures (i.e., BSODs) are notoriously difficult to diagnose and to fix -- far beyond what WE typically can do in THIS self-help Community.

You have a couple of different options to chose from ...

--------------------

The first is that of specialized forums where where folks have vast experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and suggesting repairs for BSODs. These are available depending on the OS involved, as follows:

The community Win10 forums has a section devoted to diagnosing BSODs. So, your best bet would be to post your problem there: https://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/
--------------------

The second is using free software to examine the logs that BSODs produce. This app is known as bluescreenview and is available from NirSoft, from here: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

You will then have to go online to do searches with that information to get further suggestions about what to do.

Good Luck
