Product: HP Pavilion Desktop 570-p056a
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

on HP Support Assistant I have a bios update listed for ROM Family SSID 82F2 and its version is F.42 for my pavilion desktop 570-p056a. But I cant find any online link to explain about this particular bios update. nothing available online about and I'm kind of hesitant to go and install it. am I missing something can someone direct me to an online page about this bios update please?

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

Previous experience with HPSA BIOS updates can be problematic.

 

Don't use Support Assistant to install a BIOS update.

 

Check your specific HP PC's download site for BIOS updates that match your PC's motherboard (MB) SSID.

 

Your MB SSID is 82F2. But manually install the BIOS update from this (Link).

 

Be patient, let the update complete. Loss of AC power or prematurely shutting your PC down during the BIOS update process is not good.

thanks for the reply man !

 

I have already installed F.35 Rev.A back in Nov

 

for now I'm ignoring the F.42 BIOS update until I find further details on it, I'm not going to put my PC at risk.

That is the latest BIOS update for SSID 82F2 found at your PC's driver download site for Windows 10 (Link).
