Hello !
I have a new gaming laptop i bought second hand, but for the past month, i had many different blue screens randomly appearing
at first this only happened when playing a specific game, then happened when playing any game, and now it happens even when i am not playing anything.
there are different error codes that appeared, here are the ones i could write down :
- system thread exception not handled
- kernel security update failure
- DPC watchdog violation
- Kernel mode heap corruption
I followed a few tutorial online supposed to deal with those errors, but nothing helped. Here's what I did :
Ran SFC and DISM Tools (no problems found)
Checked all my drivers for updates (all good)
Checked for windows updates (nothing either) Ran hardware diagnostics (none)
Ran a malware scan (still nothing)
Ran hp pc hardware diagnostic with every test available, but still nothing found
Is there something i can do, or is a total reboot needed ? I can provide any logs, files, or technical specification
thank you for your time 🙂

Greetings @Pantalaimon1
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Great troubleshooting!
All things equal, you might consider an external power supply problem if Windows checks out and all other hardware tests seem to look good.
Hardware tests are not infallible.
I'm not saying replacing the power supply will fix the problem.
But you've just about checked everything else you could check.
Ghost problems associated to intermittent MB problems could also cause weird stuff.
The only way to drill down to a Windows problem vs a hardware problem is to back up data. Now try a W11 in-place upgrade. If this does not help then try a clean W11 install.
Look at Settings>System>Recovery to try a W11 in-place upgrade.
Do a Fix Windows problems using Windows Update.
