someone set up my laptop without giving me the password yet they dont remember what the password is. i need to change the password pls

Hi
Make, Model and OS please.
SKU: if possible by this method
WinKey + R and type msinfo32 Line 9
System SKU: N6K07EA#ABU

Please do not post Serial Numbers.

 

You could just do a Re-Install and set your own Login and Password.

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

HP Forum policy (Link) precludes providing illegal or unethical methods to circumvent Window's operating system (OS) password protected accounts.

 

You may have to use HP Recovery media provided by HP for your specific product to reinstall the factory OS. 

 

Alternatively, you can download Windows installation media from Microsoft approved sites such as Heidoc to reinstall the correct operating system. Then install OS specific drivers provided by HP at your PC's software and driver download site.
