Hi @user312,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

I understand how frustrating it can be to suddenly have a white light on your laptop screen. A persistent white light on the screen could be caused by several factors:

Click here and update the Bios and graphics card.

Stuck Pixel: Sometimes, a single pixel on the screen can get stuck, displaying a bright white light. There are methods and software tools available online that might help fix stuck pixels by running color sequences.

Hardware Issue: It could also be a hardware problem with the display itself, such as a malfunctioning backlight or a connection issue.

Software Glitch: Occasionally, a software glitch or a recently installed application or update might cause unusual display behavior.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve minor glitches. Turn off your laptop and turn it back on to see if the white light persists.

External Display: Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV. If the white light doesn't appear on the external display, it might indicate a problem with the laptop screen itself.

If the issue persists and the laptop is under warranty, or if you're uncomfortable attempting troubleshooting steps yourself, it might be best to contact HP Support. They can provide guidance or arrange for service if needed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
