Compaq Presario SR1920NX Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a Compaq Presario SR1920NX Desktop PC that runs beautifully.  There is absolutely no reason why I would need to get a new computer but for the fact that Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 7.  And I really, REALLY do not want to have to buy a new computer.  Does anyone know if it's possible to successfully install and run Windows 10 on this type of PC?    Thanks!

The community Windows 10 forum has a thread devoted to folks' experiences getting really OLD PCs to work on Windows 10.

It is found here: https://www.tenforums.com/performance-maintenance/6909-lets-run-win10-really-really-old-hardware.htm...

You should read through it to see if your PC, or a model like it, has had any success and what needed to be done to make that happen.

Good Luck

Hello
it is a fairly old model, and so it is original
was windows xp?

The pc, is no longer supported at Hp there is no driver available for w10
Windows 7 support is indeed stopped, but it can be used for a while.
I think it's not worth taking the risk!
at some point you will have to buy something newer, in the meantime the best if it works well would be to leave it alone

good evening
sorry but take into account the configuration of this pc, which is originally from xp, winodws 10 is totally different
This pc may have performance issues
It is only very slightly upgradeable!

Memory Installed
512 MB
Maximum allowed
4 GB * (4 x 1 GB)
* Actual available memory may be less
The best advice to give is if he wants to try, it's to install another hard drive to do the test, and to install windows 10
If this does not work, replace the hard drive with w7 !!
