@Sarolin -- any modern computer that will accept a 1 TB disk-drive will definitely accept a replacement of a 2 TB disk-drive.

Most modern computers will accept a replacement of either a 4 TB disk-drive, or, if you can afford it, an 8 GB disk-drive.

Related question: do you have an external disk-drive that you routinely use to make a "backup" of that much personal information?  Disk-drives do "fail", and may "sink like the Titanic", taking all your data to the ocean floor, unless you have a good & recent backup.  You might consider purchasing a 2 TB disk-drive for "inside" your computer, and also purchasing an "empty" case for an external disk-drive, and connect your current disk-drive into that empty case, for this "external" unit to become your "backup" solution.

It fits a "standard-size" desktop disk-drive. Other enclosures fit the size of the disk-drive found inside a laptop/notebook computer.

It seems to come with a 256 GB "memory-stick", rather than the 1000 GB "disk-drive" that you claim to have.

Such a memory-stick, at a size of 2 TB, can be very expensive.

Maybe, keep the current memory-stick, and always have an external disk-drive connected, and store your files onto the external disk-drive.

The points that @itsmyname raised are important -- as the HP specs for your model only indicate an m.2 SSD -- not an HDD.

So basically, you can't replace the m.s2 SSD with any size HDD -- they have very different connectors and the HDD will not fit inside the laptop in the place of the SSD.

And as already mentioned, larger SSDs are VERY expensive, especially the newer ones. To illustrate with an example, at the online MicroCenter store, 2TB HDDs are $80-100.  In contrast, 2TB SSDs are $300-400.
