Failed dts hard drive

HP Pavillion all in one computer
My computer won't start I have ran the tests and it had failed on the DTS short hard drive. I need a new hard drive but don't know which one to buy as don't know what is complatible with my computer can anyone point me in the right direction please

Hello,

 

It depends on your exact model. Normally, all-in-ones use 3.5 inch hard drives as opposed to the 2.5 inch ones used by laptops.

You can find the specifications of your AIO by going to support.hp.com and searching for your model. You can also find guides on how to replace the HDD there.

 

Once you install the new HDD, you can create a bootable Windows 10 USB/DVD from Microsoft's website:

If you are still in warranty, contact HP via phone for repair options. They also offer paid repair for out of warranty products depending on parts availability.
