i have a couple of extra 4pin fans with me and i wanted to put them on this computer to maybe turn it into some like crappy monero miner, but i couldnt get the fans to actually power on and work once booting on the computer.
theres no good place to place extra fans on the computer, as all the ones i tried physically fit, but did nothing for the fans to actually power on.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Your HP Compaq 6300 Pro SFF has two motherboard 4-pin PWM cooling fan power connectors labeled: CHFAN and CHFAN2. These 4-pin power connectors are capable to power multiple cooling fans if using splitter cables.
Meaning, standard 4-pin cooling fans should work just fine using these 4-pin motherboard power connectors.
Kind Regards,

for some reason, i think i somehow accidentally deleted my aaccount while trying to sign back in, but the fan had some weird proprietary plastic placement, so i sanded it down, plugged in the port you mentioned (didint fit before) and now the fan works, thank you.
