Solved: Hard drive - HP Support Community

Hi ,

I have a very old Pc / desktop which I lent to my friend and have recently got back . I’m not sure if the original hard drive has been replaced as the hard drive is “ Seagate “ hard drive . How can i be sure that the original hard drive hasn’t been replaced ?

the easiest would be to ask him
Otherwise, unless it has been reinstalled since, you can see in the windows event log!
If the oldest actions do not correspond to the startup (or last installation that you made with windows)
Either it has been replaced or Windows has been reinstalled
if not, there is not too much to know
the exact model of the hard drive could indicate the date of manufacture, but this is probably not enough!
