Bought my first desktop in 15 years; have used laptops. Purchased the HP Pavilion All-in-One on-line 10 days ago. I assumed it would have a DVD/CD drive; They all did 15 years ago. Well, BIG SURPRISE. So how am I gonna load my software programs (like Word Perfect) I have on disc if this desktop has no DVD/CD drive?

Many machines now don't have Optical Disc Drive (ODD or CD/DVD drive) specially all those new thin notebooks and now many AIO including your new HP Pavilion 27-xa0055st . Options
- Buy an external USB CD/DVD drive. They can be around $25 (basic) to $150 (can burn BlueRay disc). Any good computer store should stock them.
- Check software vendors, they all supply links to download installation software now, including Windows from Microsoft.
Regards.
