How to Disable fn key on HP Pavilion All-in-one 24-r0xx?

HP Recommended

The way you instructed only locks the whole system whether you press or not press the fn key with the lock symbol. IS THIS REAL THAT THIS MODEL DOES NOT GIVE ME A CHOICE NOT TO USE THIS FREAKING ANNOYING FN KEY ??????????????

@Mshin,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Support Community,

I'm afraid if the keyboard does not have the fn lock then this is by design and the computer does not have the action key mode feature. You must first press the Fn key to perform the secondary action of a function key - the action of the printed symbol on the key.

Additional software is required to change the behavior of keyboard keys in Windows. There are several free software apps for changing the behavior of keys; such as Sharpkeys, MapKeyboard, KeyTweak, Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator, and others. Search the Internet for the name of one of these software applications or "keyboard mapping software" to find and learn more.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need any further assistance!
