OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-0000i (3Y5U6AV)

Hello,

I'm using an OMEN 25L. After updating the BIOS, the Omen Setup Utility interface has changed, and it seems that the option

to enable Virtualization has disappeared.

Is there any way to enable Virtualization with the new version of the Omen Setup Utility?

I would appreciate any advice or guidance. Thank you!

Hi @Rice_desu,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access BIOS Setup Utility:

  • Restart your OMEN 25L computer.
  • When the HP logo appears, repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.

Locate the Security or Advanced Tab:

  • In the BIOS Setup Utility, search for either the Security or Advanced tab, as settings can sometimes be relocated to different sections depending on BIOS updates.
  • Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate through the tabs.

Find Virtualization Technology:

  • Within the selected tab, look for entries labeled like "Virtualization Technology (VTx)", "SVM", or "Intel VT-x".
  • If you need to find more specific options, sometimes the feature is listed under CPU settings or Processor.

Enable Virtualization Technology:

  • Once located, use the arrow keys to select the virtualization feature and press Enter.
  • Change the setting from Disabled to Enabled.
  • If the option is not visible, check if there's a menu or section labeled “Hidden or Advanced Features” and try exploring there.

Save and Exit:

  • After enabling Virtualization, press F10 to save changes and exit the BIOS. Confirm any prompts to save your changes.

Post-BIOS Update Considerations:

  • Ensure that your BIOS is up-to-date in case the option was moved during updates.
  • Occasionally, HP might release updates or patches; check the HP Support Website for solutions tailored specifically to your model and BIOS version.

I hope this helps.
