I have an HP keyboard/mouse combo and need to change the stored key information.  In the accessory center, under keyboard, I have tried to clear the key information and reenter with the updated info, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the accessory center. The old stored key information is still there.  How can I get rid of the old info so I can reprogram the keys with new information?

Hi @MikeBartell,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're facing issues with clearing old key information and reprogramming keys on your HP keyboard/mouse combo, here are some steps you can try.

  • Reset the Keyboard/Mouse: Some HP keyboards and mice have a reset button or a reset procedure that can help clear any stored information. Look for a small reset button on the underside of the keyboard or mouse, or refer to the user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Use HP Keyboard/Mouse Software: HP often provides software specifically designed for their peripherals. Ensure you have the latest version of this software installed on your computer. Sometimes, the software might have additional options or settings that can help you clear and reprogram keys.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: In some cases, firmware updates can address issues with stored key information. Check HP's support website for any available firmware updates for your keyboard/mouse combo and apply them if necessary.

By following these steps, you should be able to clear the old key information and reprogram the keys with new information on your HP keyboard/mouse combo.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
