How to expand a program volume

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have Windws 10 and a partition in my HD.

I am out of free space in  my program volume (WIN7:C), whereas I get plenty of available space in my Data Volume (Data :D).

In the "Disk management" window,  I was not able to erase Volume D, but I did shrink it. As a result, I got a non-allocated free space of 260 GB. At this point I right clicked on  the program volume WIN7:C, but I was not able to expand it, since this option was not available for selection.  How could I expand this volume?

Thank you!

I personally use gParted, but that's Linux.

Try a freeware partition tool like Partition Wizard.

@Sergio59,

I would be nice if you mentioned the model number of the unit.

Newer system has a smaller C drive for the main programs.  Data is stored on a separate 1TB hard drive.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
