Hi @Themclauds,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If you're unable to access your HP computer and need to update or run diagnostics, here are a few steps you can try depending on your situation:
If You Can't Log In to Windows
You can still access HP's built-in diagnostics outside of Windows:
1. Use HP Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)
- Turn off your computer completely.
- Turn it back on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly (once every second) until the Startup Menu appears.
- Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- From here, you can run:
- System Tests
- Component Tests (keyboard, memory, hard drive, etc.)
- Firmware Updates (if available)
If you don’t see this menu, your diagnostics might be outdated or missing.
If You Need to Update HP Diagnostics
You can update the diagnostics tool using a USB drive:
- On another working computer, go to: 🔗 HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support for Windows
- Download the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tool.
- Follow the instructions to create a bootable USB drive.
- Insert the USB into your HP computer and boot from it (you may need to press F9 at startup to select the USB drive).
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
