Welcome to the HP English Community --
I've seen this feature described as available on select "All in One" systems --
The option is by no means on every computer of this type.
Why?
The answer might include
- The feature is missing from your particular computer
- The feature is in some way switched OFF
- The feature exists but has somehow failed (I suspect, without evidence, that this can happen but is not common.)
I would start with finding the computer model -
Next,
Check for documents that can help -
For example, use your browser and search for: "hp computer with wireless charging base"
One result -
Another:
HP Consumer All-in-One Desktop PCs - Enabling and disabling wireless charging (select models only)
Here is a Solved HP Community question that provides essentially the same answer:
What else?
Open the website support for your device:
Enter the device type and model name of your HP product
Open category "Setup & User Guides"
Look for, open, and read any user guides or setup documents you can find.
Check that the model series includes the option
Check that your particular model includes a charging platform on the base.
What else?
This method won't tell you why a feature is switched off or not working -- the parts check might at least tell you which parts and features are included in your computer.
Method – Use PartSurfer to check the parts / components in your computer
PartSurfer might be able to tell you exactly which parts came with your computer.
- For best results, use the Serial Number for your search
- Reminder: Do NOT post private information (including serial number) in the Community
Open PartSurfer
- Select your Country
- Search for your computer / printer / device >> See HINT
- Need Help? Tab Self help > find and open the User Guide and FAQ
How to use PartSurfer:
- Select your region / country - PartSurfer must know your general location
- Enter your device Product Number , Serial Number, or Part Number in the Quick Search box
- HINT: To see a system-specific list, replace the Product Number with your device Serial Number
- Items accompanied by a tiny box in the Add-to-Cart column are available for purchase
Parts marked as "n/a" (or are missing from the list) are not available from HP.
Parts marked as available for purchase might be available > CHECK: HP Parts Store
OR
When HP does not provide the part for retail purchase,
Use your search engine to find a compatible part number replacement at your favorite online store.
