The Esc message (the HP Startup Menu) commonly appears when you start an HP PC. This is to allow you to press the Esc key to get into a number of utility functions, including Diagnostics and Reset. But that should only stay on the screen for a few seconds, the screen should clear, and you then would be attempting to boot into Windows.
So, does the screen not clear of the message?
Are you unable to boot into Windows?
