You're very welcome.

Under normal circumstances I would agree, but when you experience issues with updating the BIOS, something is wrong, and it is good that you were able to still use the PC afterward.

You advised me to stop trying to update the BIOS, but I have another question: Is it possible to update the BIOS via DOS? Every time I run the software, the .rom file gets unpacked, and the software as well. Though I don't know which command parameters I should use.

HP Recommended

I don't believe that you can update the BIOS using any other method but the Windows based flash.

I recommend you start a new post on that subject.

Alright, thank you once again for your expertise. I'm sorry for not completely letting this subject go, it’s actually making me sleepless, haha.

By the way, could it be that your file was corrupted? I doubt it, but I must ask

You're very welcome.

It's highly unlikely that the file is corrupt.

If you want, you can check 3rd party driver sites to see if anything turns up.

HP Recommended

Yes, please. I'm more than grateful for all your time and assistance..ä

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Unfortunately, we're not permitted to post links to 3rd party driver websites anymore, so you will have to search on your own.

Good luck.

HP Recommended

Oh, really? That's too bad, because I did search for third-party driver websites before finding the official site. Direct messages seem to be impossible, so I'm asking if you could give me a hint on how to search for it.

HP Recommended

The site I use the most is driverscollection.com

Thank you very much for the link. It'll come in handy.
