HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows Server 2019

We had a problem that Adobe Reader opens in the background when an attachment was opened in Outlook.

The solution was found in the following old discussion:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Software-and-How-To-Questions/Programs-open-in-the-background-...

The solution we tried and worked was:

"Please check this link and let me know if this fixes the issue also: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/windows-7-explorer-window-do...  Although it is for windows 7 it should work for windows 10 also. Please backup your registry before performing the registry tweak."

We changed the following settings using REGEDIT

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
Foreground Flash Count = 3

Foreground Lock timeout = 200000
