Hi,

 

The HP configurator for the ProDesk 400 G4 Microtower shows the standard configuration using Intel's Optane hardware caching. You can't Optane cache RAID.  Additionally, I didn't find any RAID options in the BIOS level that I reviewed. However, you might be able to use the Intel Control Panel application to configure a RAID configuration. Optane caching is a form of RAID functionality so you might be able to RAID together two HDs with Optane not being active. Not a lot of room in the drive cage and the motherboard for the MT only has three SATA ports.

 

You could use the Optane device as a independent NVMe SSD or boot device but it's not officially supported by Intel.  Optane is awfully small even if the 32 GB m.2 model is used.
