@JM_21-

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Please help us with the entire/actual error message.

Let's perform a power reset as per HP standards:

Ensure your device is OFF.

Unplug all the external devices (If any).

Disconnect the power from the computer

Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.

Connect the power supply.

Press the power button to turn on your device and check if the issue persists.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

Hi Betty,

                      Thanks for your quick reply. I tried sort of what you said, by turning off the PC and then unplugging it at the socket, I then held the PC power button for over 30 seconds before putting the plug back in and turning on the PC but the error message came straight back up again.

I looked up the error message while you performed the suggested hard reset and here's a related post that seems to have helped others: click here (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktops-Archive-Read-Only/512-rear-chassi-fan-not-detected/m-p/620082...)

If this doesn't work for you considering you have an all-in-one device, please contact HP as this is a hardware malfunction.
