HP800G1USDT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

I recently bought a refurbished HP800G1 USDT with i5-4960S, 8GB DDR3, and 256GB SSD.

This PC is still on BIOS L01- Version  v02.65 Dated  Jul 2015.

I am currently running Windows 10 Pro on this system.

I want to upgrade the BIOS for this system to prepare this PC for the upcoming Windows 11.

Your suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

@Kachas

You're wasting your time -- as your model has a 4th gen Intel processor and Win11 requires 8th gen.

You need to know EVERYTHING that your system lacks for Windows 11, not just TPM or what the MS tool tells you.

Here is a link to a third-party tool that will check all the currently known requirements for Windows 11 and tell you what fails on your PC: https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11/releases

Keep doing so. MIcrosoft will support Windows 10 until Spring 2025.

So, keep using Windows 10, until then, and then buy a new computer that has Windows 11 pre-installed.

How old is the disk-drive on the computer? By 2025, it could be an "antique" -- and liable to fail at any time.

Thanks, Itsmyname.

I understand what you are trying to tell me. But, I am just a computer enthusiast, and I was thinking of trying to get some juice out of the old machine and learn something new.

Have a nice day!!
