Upgrading Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro (both x64)

HP Recommended
HP h9-1100z & HP Omen 880-029
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My old computer h9-1100z has a 1 TB SSD with Windows 7 Home Premium x64.  I am upgrading it to Windows 7 Pro.  As the h9-1100z is ageing rapidly, I decided to purchase a HP Omen model 880-029.

The HP Omen has a 2 TB HDD and a 256 Gb SSD running under Windows 10 Home.  I would like to install my 1TB SSD from my h9-1100z computer to my HP Omen.

Can I do this? and what would be the best way to proceed.

Thank you for any advice and help you can provide.

John

Hi,

Review this manual.  Review the locations for additional hard drives. You will need a SATA data cable for internally mounted hard drives.

Does your PC have the optional top drawers for 3.5" hard drives?     Very sweet if it does!:smileysurprised::smileyhappy:

BTW-----Very nice chassis.

Hi,

Unfortunately my Omen model does not have the optional top drawers.

Thanks for your help.

Correction to my previous post.

The HP Omen model 880-029 does have the optional top feature to insert additional HDD.
