Z420 Bios Update current J61 v.01.02 can´t be updated

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

i´ve got two identical Workstations Z420 (LJ449AV) with BIOS-Version: J61 v.01.02.

My problem ist, that i can´t update them with the BIOS-Versions which are applied here (3.91 Rev.A, 3.90 Rev.A or 3.88 Rev.A)

Neither in BIOS itself, in windows or DOS-Mode.

Maybe my BIOS-Version ist to old to update it with these new versions and i need a older one like v. 2.xxx or something?

Unfortunately i can´t find an older BIOS-Version. Also not with google-search.

Can someone help me?

Do anyone know where to get older BIOS-Verions so i can try them?

Thanks for any help.

The BIOS is linked to the original WIN 7 OS.

Updating to WIn 10 stops any further BIOS upgrade.

Okay.

So if i install Win 7 again i can update the Bios?

And why can´t i update the Bios out of the BIOS itself with a USB-Stick and the Bios-Flash-option?
